The Mythic Tarot comes from the same body of knowledge taught by Liz Greene, who raised astrology to another level with her pioneering work, linking and incorporating Greek mythology and Jungian psychology with astrology.

The Mythic Tarot cards were created by Liz Greene and Juliet Sharman-Burke in 1986, who tried to restore the cards to their original simplicity and accessibility.They write:

'... the imagery and meaning of the Mythic Tarot, which are best expressed through the ancient myths which gave birth to it, are neither ‘supernatural’ nor ‘occult' but deeply and profoundly human and natural and available to all of us if we only took time to look and learn'

In the Mythic Tarot, Liz Greene and Juliet Sharman-Burke have made Tarot inclusive rather than exclusive. They have done for Tarot what Jung did for psychology.

The images on the Mythic Tarot cards have been beautifully painted by Tricia Newell and, with their colourful symbolism, strike exactly the right visual chords. The energy and imagery of the cards creates a positive reaction and people who own the pack say they spend years using the cards for inspiration and meditation.
