- Counselling and Healing:
We will explore how the Tarot can be used for counselling and healing
through sample readings.
- Self-Help:
Self-exploration techniques will be demonstrated throughout the three
levels of the course.
- Meditation and Visualisation:
Jung called the imagination 'the organ of the unconscious'. Meditation
and visualisation will lead us far beyond the literal meaning of the
cards. Here the student will let their imagination lead the way.
- Colour:
Some students may like to draw and paint the cards, as this helps to
build up a personal relationship with the images through the use of
colour. Sensing the atmosphere, feel and mood of a card through the
language of colour develops yet another level of awareness, that helps
to expand the sensitivity of a reader.
- Tarot Spreads: We will be learning and exploring different Tarot spreads throughout the course. In the Case Studies, we will be concentrating on four main spreads.
| Analysis and Self-Assessment:
At Intermediate and Advanced levels, we examine the stories connected
to the cards in more depth. The deeper we probe into stories tracing
our inner patterns, and the more knowledge we have of our own inner
landscapes, the more insight we can bring to others who may be going
through their own personal rites of passage. Working deeply on oneself
is a prerequisite to helping others.
Case Supervision: An analysis and discussion by the group of a Tarot layout. Students may volunteer for readings. The focus will be on developing skills and abilities that will enable students to become responsible readers. Supervisors are professional Tarot readers and their experience will help guide the case under discussion. Their perspective will be used as an overview throughout the course. |
