Mythic Tarot was launched in 1986 by Liz Greene and Juliet Sharman-Burke.

Jung said one sentence on Tarot:

'The image on the Tarot cards are the descendents of the archetypes of transformation.'

Now, instead of magic, we speak of imagination and psychological transformation. The Mythic Tarot is based on the stories of the Greek gods, and their psychological interpretation portrays our inner life and outer life in everyday situations.

The Major Arcana depict an archetypal journey through the stages and processes of psychological development which Jung called individuation.

This archetypal approach gives a broader and deeper playing field for the imagination to flow.
